At Sarvita, we believe your health data is deeply personal and should remain under your complete control. We've designed our app with privacy at its core, ensuring that your longevity journey stays private, secure, and entirely yours.
We Don't Store Your Data
Your Health Data
Sarvita reads health and fitness data from Apple Health with your explicit permission. This data:
- Is processed entirely on your device
- Never leaves your iPhone
- Is never uploaded to any server
- Cannot be accessed by us or anyone else

Meal Analysis Feature
When you use our meal analysis feature:
- Photos or text descriptions are sent to our API servers for nutritional analysis
- Immediate deletion: Data is processed and immediately deleted - we never store it
- Single purpose: Used exclusively for meal analysis, nothing else
- No training: Your meal data is never used to train models or for any other purpose
- Optional feature: You can use Sarvita without ever using meal analysis

AI Coach (Sar)
When you interact with Sar, your personal AI fitness coach:
- Stateless by design: Our backend generates coaching content on-demand and returns it immediately—no user content is ever stored on our servers
- Profile & context data: Your profile, meals, workouts, and training plan data are sent only to generate personalized coaching messages
- Immediate disposal: All data sent to Sar is processed and immediately discarded after generating your response
- No training: Your interactions, meals, profile, workouts, and training plans are never used to train AI models
- Only usage logs: We only log anonymous usage statistics (action types, timestamps, response times) for billing and monitoring—never your actual content
- Your device stores everything: All coaching responses, training plans, check-ins, and nutrition reports are stored locally on your device using SwiftData and synced via your personal iCloud

Regional Preferences
When you use features that communicate with our servers (such as meal analysis or AI Coach):
- CDN routing: All API requests pass through our CDN provider's global network for security and performance
- No IP address stored: Your real IP address is hidden by the CDN and never reaches our servers
- Approximate location: The CDN provides us with the approximate location of their nearest server to you (country and city)—this reflects the CDN data center serving your request, not your precise location
- Used for localization: We use this location information solely to provide appropriate measurement units (metric/imperial) and localized meal suggestions
- No precise location: We do not determine your street address or exact geographic coordinates
- Not stored: This location data is used only during request processing and is not stored or logged

App Analytics & Advertising
To help us understand how users find our app and measure advertising effectiveness, we use Tenjin, a mobile attribution and analytics platform:
- IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers): With your permission, we collect Apple's advertising identifier to measure app install attribution
- Install data: We track app installs and basic engagement metrics to understand marketing effectiveness
- No health data: Tenjin never has access to your health information from Apple Health
- Your choice: You can opt out via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt

Everything Else
For all other features:
- No health data collection: We don't collect or store your health data on our servers
- No user accounts: No registration or personal information required
- No behavioral tracking: We don't track how you use the app's features

How We Protect Your Data
On-Device Processing
All health data analysis and processing happens locally on your iPhone. We don't have servers storing your health information.
Apple Health Integration
We leverage Apple's secure HealthKit framework, which uses encryption and requires your explicit permission for each data type.
Health Data Stays Private
We never sell, share, or transfer your health data to third parties. While we use Tenjin for install attribution (with your consent), they never receive any health information.
Where Your Data Lives
Your iCloud, Your Data
Sarvita stores all your app data—meals, training plans, coach messages, settings, and progress—in your personal iCloud account, not on our servers.
iCloud Private Database
Your data is stored in Apple's secure CloudKit infrastructure, encrypted and accessible only by you across your devices.
Seamless Sync
Your meals, workouts, and coaching insights automatically sync across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account.
You Control iCloud Sync
You can disable iCloud sync for Sarvita at any time in iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → Sarvita. When disabled, data remains only on your device.
Complete Data Removal
To delete all your Sarvita data from iCloud, go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Sarvita → Delete Data. Uninstalling the app removes local data automatically.

Your Rights and Control
You have complete control over your data:
- ✓ Access Control: You can grant or revoke access to specific health data types at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy > Health > Sarvita
- ✓ Data Deletion: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data immediately
- ✓ Export Options: You can export your insights and progress reports at any time
- ✓ Transparency: We'll always be clear about what data we access and why
Children's Privacy
Sarvita is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any significant changes through the app. Your continued use of Sarvita after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
